Can it really replace my current Powerstream and Delta 2 Max system?
Let's check the fight card first...
| Powerstream | STREAM | |
| # of inverters | 2 | 1 |
| # of PV inputs | 4 | 4 |
| # of batteries | 2 | 2 |
| Current capacity | 4kWh | 3.84kWh |
| Maximum grid feed | 1,600W | 800W |
The Powerstream system still has the over-all advantage over the STREAM system as it stands. Of course I can add more STREAM AC Pro batteries up to six in total (11.52kWh). I can also add another STREAM Ultra, but EcoFlow support said:
"Yes, one device can be placed in each space. However, if you are using two STREAM Ultra devices at the same time in your home, please ensure that the total output power does not exceed the limits of your local power grid."
I read this as compliance to local regulations than a product limit.
It's the same EcoFlow app, the STREAM space has more graphs, but main screen simplified in a way.

Let's look at the configuration starting with the most important - System setting. Press the gear icon to access the details.
| Energy delivery strategy | Semi-automated monitoring |
| I'm using Semi-automated monitoring which
basically is the same base load + Smart Plugs we know in the
Powerstream. Smart meter monitoring (using Shelly
integration) still doesn't work for me due to excessive feed
to the grid. The Base load power is a more flexible representation of the Household power demand in the Powerstream. Here you can set exactly how much to feed the grid depending on the time of the day. |

|
|
| Operating mode | Self-powered |
| Self-powered is the only option applicable because TOU (time of use) or what Meralco calls POP is something I'm not subscribed with. | |
|
|
| Backup reserve | 23% is the minimum
value that is accepted and is also my setting because I
don't need to reserve too much battery as power
interruptions are rare at where I am. This is also the threshold when the STREAM Ultra sends power to the grid. |
| Self-powered | 100%-Backup reserve, i.e., 100%-23% equals 77%. This means the system is ready to supply up to 77% of the total battery capacity to power your home. In my case that's 2.95kWh. |
| Charge & discharge limits | This setting is the same as that of the Delta series
batteries. I set it to 20% lower limit and 100% higher
limit, and there is a reason for disregarding the 95%
suggestion. According to EcoFlow support: "If you want to maximize solar energy instead of using grid power, we recommend setting the battery charge limit to 100%." |

| Electricity rate settings | Currency ₱Consumption rate Flat-rate Rate Unit price ₱13.2703 at the time of publishing this page, Meralco charges ₱13.2703 per kWhFeed-in rate Flat-rate Fixed rate ₱0.00001 since there is no net metering setup, I set this to the smallest value to be irrelevant. |

So there, those are the settings that I use for my STREAM system.
The conclusion is continued on the next page.
