The EcoFlow PowerOcean system

July 12, 2026

The installation started at 8am and was complete and provisioned by 4pm.

Here are some photos from the activity.

Thanks to my good friend who gave me a granite piece more than sufficient in size and thickness for the base of the PowerOcean to rest on.

Aside from having the roof repainted, I needed a canopy as recommended by EcoFlow. While the PowerOcean is IP65 rated and will survive torture, I still want to give it some protection.

The NEMA-4 combiner lockable box contains the DC and AC protection, the Acrel energy monitor, and an automatic transfer switch (ATS) connected to the PowerOcean backup port.

So there it is, a very clean install and now running in self-powered mode.

What were installed?

Solar Panels, AIKO-G650-MCH72Mw 8 pcs 5.2kWp
EcoFlow PowerOcean Inverter 1 unit 6kW
EcoFlow PowerOcean 5kWh batteries 2 units 10kWh
Emergency Stop (EPO) 1 unit
NEMA-4 combiner box 1 unit
Acrel energy monitor 1 unit
Taxnele ATS 1 unit
AC and DC Protection devices 1 lot

The validation of functionality and compatibility is continued on the next page.
