My journey into Photography, Horology, and Audiophilia |
December 23, 2025
My EcoFlow Powerstream journey has ended and the system settled down. My one (1) year bill have been summarized and compared to the previous year, 2024.

I am happy with what was achieved by this DIY balcony solar system.
Then it happened, EcoFlow discontinued the Powerstream microinverter and released a totally new balcony solar system consisting of:
Altitude Digital brought in the STREAM microinverter, the Ultra, and the AC Pro.
While functionally similar (takes solar harvest, feed in to the grid), the STREAM microinverter is totally different compared to the Powerstream.
The STREAM Ultra is an all-in-one solution consisting of 1.92kWh battery, microinverter (800W max in the Philippines like the Powerstream), and PV inputs.
The STREAM AC Pro is an expansion with 1.92kWh battery capacity, and microinverter.
This is interesting, as the STREAM Ultra is like a Powerstream with internal batteries!
The geek in me can't resist and I bought the STREAM Ultra for no real purpose. I have an upcoming trip hence no time to play around with it, so I used it as a battery power supply for my entire audio system with double the capacity of the smallest STROMTANK.

During my holiday trip I asked Altitude when will the sale end, I was told January 8. So I placed the STREAM AC Pro in the cart and I picked it up the following day I arrived from vacation.
Now that I have time, I planned to get the STREAM series operating in my house and replace the Powerstream + Delta 2 Max combination that currently run.
The STREAM Ultra was already connected to the grid and it works without any issues. It's residing in its own "space" in the app and the solar panels are connected and it was feeding to the grid.

But the STREAM AC Pro was spitting out errors when connected to the grid. Updating the firmware didn't work, and it looks like a botched firmware.

I hurried back to Altitude to exercise my 7-days replacement consumer right that they honored.
Unfortunately, the replacement also suffers from the same grid and firmware problems. They now have to ask TekMage to look into it so I left the unit with them.
On January 6, I returned to TekMage to pickup my unit which has received the proper firmware from EcoFlow.

It is now included in the right space and is charging, as it was returned with less than 10% charge but working, so I'm happy.
The transition is continued on the next page.
