The EcoFlow PowerOcean system

July 12, 2026

I have spent a good sum of money with EcoFlow products from the Powerstream to the STREAM system.

I have numerous scenarios running in my mind, but as the real goal is to charge the Seagull, I came up with a completely off-grid scenario with 15kWh of batteries, 90% is dedicated for charging only and the existing EcoFlow products will cover my house needs.

When EcoFlow visited me, the person in charge was able to convince me to make it a whole-home setup. Even after literally crawling the web, with the help of AI, to find information if I can integrate my existing EcoFlow devices, I came up with little information.

Knowing well how each EcoFlow system works, I decided to commit to the project and I hope to validate my plan when everything gets installed. I was assigned to Pro-Tek Solar Power Installation & Services as their main office is close to the village.

The progress took time as my roof needs repainting as suggested by EcoFlow and I have to watch i-dle (아이들) perform in Singapore, not to mention the weather is unpredicatable as usual.

El plan

Without guarantee that these devices will integrate in the app and in operation, is yet to be proven. The plan therefore is to create islands of power sources, as follows:

  • The Powerstream microinverters will be retired.
  • The Delta 2 Max + external battery will be charged by the flexible 200W x 2 panels previously used for the Powerstream.
  • The STREAM Ultra and AC Pro running in distributed mode will be physically decoupled, as I have no idea what will happen when the AC Pro require power from the Ultra via the same grid that the PowerOcean will control.
  • Reduce the PowerOcean 5kWh batteries by one, for a total of 10kWh. I hope I will not regret this decision later.
  • As the older EcoFlow devices are already positioned ideally as they were, the loads have been distributed appropriately. These loads are what I call "hobby" loads and will not be served by the PowerOcean.
  • I have a total of of 7.8kWh outside of the PowerOcean to maximize its EV charging capacity.

The installation is continued on the next page.
